Stay Safe on the Web
An abuser may be able to discover the information you
have recently viewed on the internet if they access your cache file or
history. If you want to prevent an abuser from doing this, you can delete
information from your history or cache file. Please read the instructions
below:
Netscape
Pull down the Edit menu, and select Preferences.
Click on Navigator on choose 'Clear History'. Click on Advanced then select
Cache. Click on 'Clear Disk Cache'.
On older versions of Netscape: Pull down Options menu, select Network
Options, select Cache. Click on 'Clear Disk Cache'.
Internet Explorer
Pull down the Tools menu, select Internet Options.
On General page, under Temporary Internet Files, click on 'Delete Files'.
Under History click on 'Clear History'.
AOL
Pull down Members menu, select Preferences. Click
on WWW icon. Select Advanced, Purge Cache.
These methods are not 100% fail-safe, some browsers
have features that display recently visited sites. The safest way would
be to use your local library or use the internet somewhere other than
at your home.
