Lambeth Women's Aid - Who We Are.

Lambeth Women's Aid was established in 1975 for the relief of the poverty, mental and physical distress experienced by women who had suffered violence, in particular those women who had been maltreated by their husbands or partners.

Domestic Violence is 'The violent and/or abusive use of power within an intimate relationship, perpetrated by a man against a woman' (Lambeth Domestic Violence Forum).

Abuse doesn't have to be physical; there are other types of abuse that are still considered to be 'domestic violence'. Abuse can be emotional, financial and sexual and you can seek outreach or refuge support if you are suffering from any of these.
